Accessibility Features

  • All links are keyboard accessible.
  • DM, Favorite, Reply, Re-tweet, and Delete links are all visible by default.
  • Simple, consistent layout and navigation (and signed-in username always displayed).
  • Headings and page titles are implemented for optimal accessibility. This includes an H3 heading (for author screen name) added to tweets to assist with screen reader users.
  • Works great with or without JavaScript.
  • Ajax actions are concluded with an alert that notifies the user of the result of the action.

  • Text resizes many levels without breaking.
  • Looks great in all screen resolutions from 800-pixel width 1600 and higher.

  • If a tweet is in response to another (and marked as such in the data), a clearer link is provided to the that tweet (not hidden). There's also a more obvious link to the "permanent page" for the tweet.
  • A clearer link is provided for the "permanent" link for a tweet; the page containing only a single tweet.
  • Definitions of abbreviations are provided to certain acronyms in tweets such as IMHO (in my humble opinion).
  • ARIA is implemented including document landmark roles, which assist in site navigation, and live region for the dynamic character counter.
  • Tested on all major browsers: IE6, IE7, IE8, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Chrome.

Main Features

  • When writing a tweet, an Add Image feature (via TwitPic) and a Shorten URL feature (via Bitly) are available.
  • Re-tweet, Reply & Favorite links easily accessilbe on each tweet.
  • Trends page contains lists for weekly, daily, and current trends.
  • A page to search tweets is available and also provides valuable searching tips.
  • Ability to search users is now implemented. Search for Twitter accounts by name.
  • Add, delete, and run saved searches.
  • Inline threading of tweets; displays reply "conversation". (Click the "responding" link.)
  • View, subscribe, and create Twitter Lists.
  • Popular Links page provides the top links currently being Twittered. Choose between all, news, images, and video.
  • In a tweet containing a image link from TwitPic, yfrog or mypict.me, preview images are displayed with a link to the external page.
  • In tweets, search terms are linked automatically to the internal search results page (terms marked with a hash "#").
  • Easily send a message to the author of the tweet (with "@" icon link) through auto-entry of the user name.
  • Much easier to review a tweet when replying and re-tweeting.
  • Runs great on mobile devices such as the iPhone and Droid.
  • Everyone page is provided (public timeline).
